Local Successes
- KBCO Studio C has been privileged to help Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) raise over $1,000,000 over the past 22 years. In 2009, the Food Bank of the Rockies was added to the program and will take a share of the proceeds of KBCO Studio C Volume 21 and beyond.
- The 2nd Annual Polar Plunge and 103.5 The Fox partnered together to raise over $85,000 for Special Olympics Colorado from 300 plungers. The event also got national and local TV coverage.
- Every year KBPI’s event Hand that Feeds collects an average of 150,000 pounds of food for the Denver Rescue Mission.
- 850 KOA has supported The Samaritan House over the past 12 years with donations on-line, via call-ins and on site at an all day live broadcast. During that time they have helped raise over $1.3 million, with the 2009 holiday fundraiser bringing in a record high of $270,000.
National Outlook
